Rave styles and clothing have changed a large amount in the last 15 years.

20 years of Rave Clothes

Raves clothes and fashion have alway gone hand in hand. From polos and striped shirts at the start of the nineties to phat pants of the mellienium to the subdued futeristic designs of today rave clothes have changed tremendously.

Rave Clothing in 1990

Rave was just begining at the start of the 90's and so were rave clothes. There were no definitive styles of rave clothes until the mid ninties. Most people in th rave scene at this time just wore regualr club clothes.

Rave Clothes in 1995

By the mid ninties thetyle most associated with rave culture began appearing. Wide leg jeans were worn universally. The more extreme styles used handmade jewelery from beads and cosumes. The people ho took the rave clothes style to the most extreme are referred to as candy kids. Candy kids were drug users who heightened the drugs by wearing  rave clothes that  were soft to touch and visually stimulating.

Rave Clothing in 2000

Police agencies began to increase pressue on people wearing rave clothes. The people who wore rave clothes began to try to blend back in with the society. Ravers were dropping the rave clothes of the ninties and picking less outlandish clothes. At the turn of the century though it was still common to find the wide leg pant in rave fashion.

Rave Clothes of the present

Ravle clothes of the present consist of the old cnady style of clothing and the normal style of dress. The days fo the raver truly stadning out of the crowd are gone.
