Rave styles and clothing have changed a large amount in the last 15 years.
20 years of Rave Clothes
Raves clothes and fashion have alway gone hand in hand. From polos and striped
shirts at the start of the nineties to phat pants of the mellienium to
the subdued futeristic designs of today rave clothes have changed
tremendously.
Rave Clothing in 1990
Rave was just begining at the start of the 90's and so were rave
clothes. There were no definitive styles of rave clothes until the mid
ninties. Most people in th rave scene at this time just wore regualr
club clothes.
Rave Clothes in 1995
By the mid ninties thetyle most associated with rave culture began
appearing. Wide leg jeans were worn universally. The more extreme
styles used handmade jewelery from beads and cosumes. The people ho
took the rave clothes style to the most extreme are referred to as
candy kids. Candy kids were drug users who heightened the drugs by
wearing rave clothes that were soft to touch and visually
stimulating.
Rave Clothing in 2000Police agencies began to increase pressue
on people wearing rave
clothes. The people who wore rave clothes began to try to blend back in
with the society. Ravers were dropping the rave clothes of the ninties
and picking less outlandish clothes. At the turn of the century though
it was still common to find the wide leg pant in rave fashion.
Rave Clothes of the present
Ravle clothes of the present consist of the old cnady style of clothing
and the normal style of dress. The days fo the raver truly stadning out
of the crowd are gone.
