Many x-ravers have reported that they are suffering from a wide range of symptoms. We believe that these symptoms are indicative of a larger problem. There are many conditions an ex-raver could suffer from the most common of these is post traumatic raver syndrome ( PTRS ). PTRS is a condition that afflicts most ravers after they have long left the scene behind and tried to make the most of their once productive lives. It typically sets in after two or three years of being out of the scene.
The initial symptoms of the disease are generally innocuous. Usually it starts with a fear of hugging or sharing of water. In the rave culture it was common to greet everyone with a hug and share bottles of water even with strangers. Thus occurrence of these seemingly common means of interacting can bring flashbacks to the ex-raver. The first onset of flashbacks are generally mild and dismissed by the ex-raver as jitters or nerves
