Rave Theater, the retelling of raves through plays and movies. It was a popular concept when raves were big but since they are not now lets sit back and take a look at a few of the worst.

A MidSummer Nights Rave: This bit of rave theater was the retelling of the Shakespeare's Midsummer nights dream set at a rave. This absolutely blew. The lines were corny and the acting was way overdone. What a terrible example of rave theater.

Go: As far as rave theater goes Go is sadly not it. While it includes some rave elements it is mostly about a drug deal. Since drugs and raves were synonymous many people mistook this for a movie about raves. Really though the rave was simply incidental to the whole thing.

Groove: This was the best example of theatrical rave production yet. It is true to the roots and ideals of the rave culture and had an interesting story. While your mom or someone who never really went to a rave might not get it it is a good movie to relive the good old days with.

24 Hour Party People: Yet another peace of theater the was not rave. A lot of people try to pass this movie off as being about the roots of rave. Absolutely WRONG this is about Factory records and the things they did and witnessed. The fact a rave night is prominently featured in it does not mean it is a rave movie.
